Milan, Dec 22 (LaPresse) – Anonymous sources have told the Egyptian daily Al-Ghad, quoted by the Times of Israel, that Israel has demanded the release of 11 more hostages to be included in the first act of a potential ceasefire agreement with Hamas. The Islamist group in return for their release would demand further compensation. According to Middle Eastern media, the first phase of the agreement between Israel and Hamas envisages the release of 250 Palestinian prisoners from Israeli jails in exchange for the children held in Gaza, the five female soldiers, and the older and sicker prisoners. Israel reportedly demanded the release of 34 hostages in the first phase, including the 11 men considered by Hamas to be soldiers.
