Rome, Dec. 27 (LaPresse) – "People hope for my reunion with Totti. But it’s not possible, nor would it be respectful to those in our lives now," said Ilary Blasi in an interview with Grazia, where she discussed the upcoming Netflix series Ilary, a five-episode show premiering on January 9.
At the start of the series, her friends and sisters highlight how, thanks to her determination, she has returned to being her old self. Ilary agrees, though she notes, "The past cannot be erased, and it would be a shame to do so. It was beautiful—I have emotional memories, and flashes resurface from time to time. But I don’t live in the past; I live in the here and now, and I’m focused on the future."
Ilary also shared her experience as a separated mother: "You learn to communicate, to keep the other parent involved. But I’ve always handled things on my own, relied on my strength, and made decisions for the kids myself. He (Totti) was often absent due to work. So, not much has changed; I haven’t felt the weight of a new situation. In short, everything is like before."
Before Ilary, Blasi starred in another Netflix series, Unica, which she described as "the hardest experience I’ve had. Either you have the courage to open up as I did, or it’s pointless. It was hard for me to speak from the heart. I asked everyone on the production team to leave the room. For seven hours, I spoke freely."
In Ilary, however, she says she revealed "who I really am. There’s no script here, and I had fun. It was a project I’ve wanted to do for a long time."
Blasi also shared insights into her current relationship with Bastian, revealing that he made the first move. "I wasn’t even thinking about finding a boyfriend. I had been single for four months," she added.
